Early Years Learning Framework
We operate under the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which recognises that the early years of a child’s development has a strong influence on the course of each child’s life. The early years of a child’s development lay the critical foundations needed for a lifetime of learning through building of fundamental life skills and abilities. We as early childhood educators have the passion and ability to develop and foster those attributes and skills that will benefit the child throughout their entire life.
Children bring with them a natural wonder and curiosity about their world and their place within it. Our role as educators is to facilitate, plan, implement and guide learning experiences for each child. Early education needs to be rich, contextualised, developmentally appropriate and connected to a child’s home, community and world experiences.
A child’s early education is characterised by a rapid rate of growth, learning and development. However, we recognise that each child will develop different learning pathways and communication skills.
